News - GUY TURNER CLUB ROOMS TO BE UPGRADED

At the beginning of the month the state government announced that they would be contributing $100,000 towards the upgrading of the Club Rooms at Guy Turner Reserve.

The Mayor of the City of Knox also announced that they would contribute a further $500,000 towards the project, which takes the budget up to $600,000.

The purpose of the upgrade is for both the Cricket and Soccer Clubs to be able to provide adeqeuate change rooms facilities for our Female players.

Work is expected to start sometime after the July and at this stage there are three likely options which are being explored:

1) Knock down the existing club rooms and start from scratch

2) Add change rooms on to the existing club rooms

3) Build a sperate change room facility where the current sealed car pack is.

No matter which option is finally agreed to the upgrade will be a big win for both the Cricket and the Soccer clubs.
